We collect the minimum we need, we tell you why, and you can ask us to delete it. We handle your information under the Privacy Act 2020.
What this site collects
The apply form asks for your name, your email, an optional phone number, and a few lines about your situation. That is all this site collects about you directly. If you arrange a call, we collect what's needed to set up and hold that appointment.
To understand how the site is used, we measure page visits in aggregate with cookieless analytics that can't identify you. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting.
Why we collect it
Your details are used only to assess your application, to reply to you, and to work out together whether Forge is the right fit. They are not added to a marketing list, and they are not sold or shared outside Forge Wealth.
Where it goes
Applications are delivered to our inbox by our email-delivery provider, and our website runs on hosted infrastructure - both may store data outside New Zealand, and both are bound to confidentiality and to processing data only on our instructions. No one else sees your application.
How long we keep it
If your application doesn't proceed, we delete it. You can ask us to delete what you've sent at any time - one email is enough. Once you become a client, advice records must be retained for the period the law requires, and your engagement documents set that out.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it at any time. Email us at hello@forgewealth.co.nz and we'll action it. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can raise it with us, or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Once you become a client
The handling of your information inside the engagement is set out in your engagement agreement and privacy notice, provided before any advice is given. It covers what we collect for advice, how our advisers and systems use it, how we use AI tools in preparing your plan, where records are stored, and how long they are kept - governed by the Privacy Act 2020.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and material changes are notified to clients directly.
